Four Lady Raiders Selected for Team Luke Classic Main Draw

Dvorak, Maltby, Talaba, Valenstein to participate in the main draw of the Team Luke Tennis Classic

LUBBOCK, Texas – Four Texas Tech Women's Tennis athletes have been selected for the Main Draw of the Team Luke Classic held at the McLeod Tennis Complex this week. Â
Sophomores Felicity Maltby and Alex Valenstein and juniors Sarah Dvorak and Gabriela Talaba will compete in the main draw of this week's event. The four will be competing against some of the nation's top-ranked athletes.
Main draw play begins tomorrow at 11 a.m. and continues through Thursday. Singles quarterfinals is scheduled for Friday with the semifinals following on Saturday and the final match on Sunday.
The tournament is part of the USTA Pro Circuit Collegiate Series, a circuit of tournaments to help college players gain pro experience and earn the ATP or WTA ranking points needed to transition to the pro ranks.
The Team Luke Tennis Classic will develop The Team Luke Fund from the tournament proceeds. The Team Luke Fund will provide critical, financial support to the Siegel family as they face a multitude of medical expenses resulting from Luke's treatment and long-term care needs.
