PARKING
Texas Tech is encouraging fans to arrive as early as possible to men's and women's basketball games due to the temporary closure to the entrance and exit of the Commuter West Lot at the Texas Tech Parkway and Knoxville Avenue. This entrance and exit will be closed from Dec. 5 to Jan. 13 for construction. Fans are asked to use the entrances and exits off Indiana Avenue when arriving from the north along with the entrances and exits at Indiana Avenue and 18th Street when arriving from 19th Street or the Marsha Sharp Freeway.Â

- Entering today's game, the Lady Raiders lead the all-time series, 37-14, over the Cougars. The last meeting between the two programs was on Dec. 21, 2014, when Texas Tech defeated Houston, 60-54, in Lubbock.
- Texas Tech defeated Prairie View A&M, 85-43, to stay undefeated at home. Five Lady Raiders scored in double figures led by Recee' Caldwell and Brittany Brewer who had 16 points each.
- Texas Tech fell to Arkansas during the SEC/Big 12 Challenge, 66-60, in Fayetteville, Ark. Caldwell led the team with 29 points, marking her third 20+ game and fifth double-figure game of the season.
- Caldwell scored 15 points in the final quarter at Arkansas, becoming the first Lady Raider to score 15+ points in a quarter. Her 24 points in the second half marked the first time a Lady Raider has accomplished this feat since Jia Perkins scored 21 against Creighton on Dec. 4, 2002.
- Houston enters the matchup coming off a 79-63 win over College of Charleston. Freshman guard Jasmyne Harris led the team with 17 points, four rebounds and four steals.
