Lady Raiders Head to Miami Thanksgiving Tournament

Texas Tech meets Fordham in tournament opener on Friday at 1 p.m.
LUBBOCK, Texas – Texas Tech Lady Raider Basketball will celebrate Thanksgiving in Coral Gables, Fla., as the team is set to compete in the Miami Thanksgiving Tournament this weekend.Â

The Lady Raiders will face Fordham in the tournament opener set for Friday at 1 p.m. (CT). No. 21 Miami hosts Grambling State in the second game of the tournament. Depending on the outcome of both games, Texas Tech will face Grambling State or Miami on Sunday for an 11 a.m. tip.

- Sophomore Recee' Caldwell is the leading scorer in the league, averaging 26.0 points per game.
- Texas Tech scored 90 points in back-to-back games for the first time since the 2003-04 season when the Lady Raiders defeated San Diego, 95-47, on Dec. 30, 2003, and Pepperdine, 94-53, on Jan. 4, 2004.
