Lady Raiders Travel to No. 24 Texas A&M

LUBBOCK, Texas – The Texas Tech Lady Raiders travels to College Station, Texas, for the first road contest of the 2016-17 season. The Lady Raiders will face No. 24 Texas A&M on Thursday at 7 p.m. inside Reed Arena.

The Lady Raiders enter the midweek matchup coming off a 90-80 win over North Dakota in the 11^th straight season opening victory. Sophomore guard Recee' Caldwell led the charge with a career-high 28 points, seven assists, two rebounds and a steal.

No. 24 Texas A&M opened the season with a 74-49 victory over Central Arkansas last Sunday. Sophomore guard Danni Williams scored 25 points in the win.

Junior Center Jada Terry returns to College Station after transferring to Texas Tech in 2015. In her two seasons at Texas A&M, Terry played in 53 games, scored 144 points and tallied 72 rebounds. She also had 25 blocks and was a .685 shooter from the field.
The Lady Raiders scored 90 points en route to their season opening win over North Dakota. Sophomore Recee' Caldwell was the Lady Raiders leading scorer vs. North Dakota with 28 points. She also recorded seven assists, two rebounds and a steal in the contest.
Nine of the 10 Lady Raiders who played in Sunday's game (vs. North Dakota) scored at least two points while all 10 saw double-digit minutes.
The Lady Raiders rank second in scoring offense among Big 12 opponents (90.0) behind Baylor who has averaged 101.0 points per game. The Lady Raiders lead the Big 12 in 3-point percentage (47.1%). Recee' Caldwell's 28 points is the most by any player in the Big 12 currently.
