Men’s Tennis Eliminated from Saint Francis/ITA All-American Championships

The Red Raiders will look to regroup at the ITA Texas Regionals hosted by TCU from October 21-24.
TULSA, Okla. – The Texas Tech men's tennis team had its run at the Saint Francis/ITA All-American Championships come to a close during the qualifying round Tuesday at the Case Tennis Center on the University of Tulsa campus.
Jolan Cailleau battled his way to a 6-4, 4-6, 6-3 victory over Wake Forest's Alan Gadjiev before he was handed a hard-fought 6-4, 4-6, 7-5 defeat by Peter Bertran of South Florida. In singles consolation actin, Alex Sendegeya responded with a 6-2, 6-4 win versus Tulsa's Jarod Hing.
Ronit Bisht and Connor Curry lost a 6-3, 6-4 doubles decision to Jack Findel-Hawkins and Lasse Muscheites of North Florida during the final round of qualifying.
"A tough match for Jolan to lose," Texas Tech head coach Brett Masi said. "We had our opportunities to advance during this tournament but didn't get it done. Simply, we need to get back on the practice courts and need to get better."
