Lady Raiders Head to Riviera/ITA All-American Championships

Valenstein, Talaba, Dvorak, Maltby to represent Texas Tech at tournament this week
PACIFIC PALISADES, Calif. – Four Women's Tennis players will represent Texas Tech at the 2016 Riviera/ITA Women's All-American Championships this week in Pacific Palisades, Calif.
Sophomore Alex Valenstein qualified for the main draw, becoming the first Lady Raider in program history to receive a main draw invitation. She was one of 22 selected to the main draw which begins on Thursday.
Juniors Gabriela Talaba and Sarah Dvorak and sophomore Felicity Maltby were also invited to the event to compete in the qualifying singles round. The qualifying round of 64 will begin tomorrow.
In the first set of matches, Dvorak will take on Florida's No. 43 Anna Danilina while Maltby faces No. 120 Julia O'Loughlin of Denver at 12:45 p.m. (CT).
This tournament marks the first for Talaba of the season. She is set to face No. 77 Rasheeda McAdoo of Georgia Tech at 2:30 p.m. (CT).
