Tech fell behind in the third set, 12-7, before a 7-0 run by the Red Raiders sparked by kills from Allen, Alyssa Ybanez and Marguerite Grubb gave Tech new life midway through the frame. However, a 6-0 swing by the Cougars secured the victory for Washington State.
Allen's 12 digs were a team-high for Tech, but senior Carlie Foust and freshman Reyn Akiu each followed closely behind with 11.
