Junior Lauren Douglass set the school record for hitting percentage in a single-season behind a clip of .377.

LUBBOCK, Texas -- Texas Tech volleyball middle blocker Lauren Douglass has been named an American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) All-Southwest Region Honorable Mention honoree, the AVCA announced on Tuesday.

Douglass finished the 2015 campaign as the most efficient attacker in a single-season in Texas Tech history, rattling off a hitting percentage of .377. She hit .400 or better in 13 matches in 2015, reaching a seasonal-high of .688 against Columbia on Sept. 4. She also owned three of the top four single-match attack percentages in the Big 12.
Along with being effective with her swings, Douglass also led the team in total kills (280) and kills per set (2.95). She recorded the most kills by a Red Raider in 13 different matches this season, with a career-high of 20 against Portland State on Sept. 18. She also led Texas tech at the line blocking with 19 solo and 70 assisted blocks for a total of 89.
On Nov. 30, Douglass was named to All-Big 12 Second Team for the second consecutive season. In 2015, she received All-Tournament Team honors in all four tournaments played this season, including Tournament MVP at the Texas Tech Fall Invitational. She was also named to the Academic All-Big 12 Second Team.
