WINDERMERE, Fla. --The Texas Tech men's golf team currently sits in seventh place (+13) through two rounds at the Tavistock Collegiate Invitational, which is taking place at the Isleworth Country Club, in Windermere, Fla.

The Red Raiders shot a five-over-par 293 on Sunday, and sat in eighth place overall through the first round. The course played significantly tougher on Monday, yielding a lowest team score (289, Florida) that was ten strokes higher than Monday's low score (279, California).Therefore, Texas Tech's eight-over-par 296 was enough to jump up one spot in the overall standings, to seventh place.

Four Red Raiders currently sit in the top 30 as individuals, including two occupying the top 20. Hannes Ronneblad, as he has most of the fall, is leading the way for Tech, firing rounds of 74 and 72 (146, +2 overall), placing him in a tie for 15th through two rounds. Hurly Long joins him in the top 20 after carding a 72 on Sunday and a 75 on Monday (147, +3 overall).

Henry Todd and Federico Zucchetti are tied for 28th overall, after each shooting a 149 (+5 overall). Todd registered a 76 on Sunday followed by a 73 on Monday, while Zucchetti did the opposite, recording a 73 on Sunday and a 76 on Monday.

Freshman Ivan Ramirez is in 36th after Monday's round of 76, which followed up the 74 he carded on Sunday (150, +6 overall). All five Red Raiders currently find themselves in the top half of the 75-player leaderboard.

For Tuesday's final round, Texas Tech will pair up with Florida (currently eighth place) and South Carolina (currently ninth place), with tee times starting at 7 a.m. CT. The Red Raiders will tee off in 10-minute increments with Ramirez leading off, followed by Zucchetti, Todd, Long and Ronneblad.

Now in its 12th year, the Tavistock Collegiate Invitational (TCI) has earned its reputation as one of the top tournaments in college golf. Formerly known as the Isleworth Collegiate Invitational, the tournament now alternates between Isleworth Golf & Country Club and Lake Nona Golf & Country Club. The TCI is hosted by UCF and Texas Tech. Each year, the Tavistock Collegiate Invitational hosts the top collegiate programs from all over the nation. Eleven of the 15 teams in the field were ranked in the Top 35 at the end of last season.
