- Head coach Tim Tadlock won his 500th game as a collegiate head coach... Overall record in 11 years of coaching at the college level is 500-173... includes nine years at Grayson County College.
- Victory guarantees Texas Tech will face Texas in first round of Phillips 66 Big 12 Championship on Wednesday, May 21 at 7:30 p.m. at Bricktown Ballpark in Oklahoma City.
- Has won back-to-back games on walk-off base hits... series opener was in extra-innings (11 innings)... Tim Proudfoot had walk-off base hit tonight (single up the middle in 9th).
- Improved to 39-16 overall and to 13-10 in Big 12 games this season.

2B Bryant Burleson (2-FOR-3, R, HR, RBI)
- Scored Tech's first run of the game in the fifth inning hitting second home run of the season over the left-field wall.
- Tallied 17th multi-hit game this season (41st career).
- Has hit safely in 9 of his last 10 games.
DH Adam Kirsch (1-FOR-2, R, RBI, 2 BB)
- Tied the game at 2-2 in the seventh inning with leadoff homer on the first pitch of his at-bat with a towering homer over the left-center field wall.
- Marked eighth home run of the season - second on the team (Gutierrez - 12).
SS Tim Proudfoot (2-FOR-4, RBI)
- Had second career walk-off base hit with the game-winning hit in the bottom of the ninth inning scoring Zach Davis from second with RBI single up the middle.
- First career walk-off hit was during freshman season hitting a run-scoring triple in the bottom of the ninth inning against Northern Illinois on Feb. 27, 2012 in Lubbock.
- Posted 12th multi-hit game of the season (27th career).
1B Eric Gutierrez (1-FOR-4)
- Made 111th consecutive start on Friday... longest streak among active players.
- Has reached base safely in 47-of-55 games this season.
LF Tyler Neslony (1-FOR-4)
- Has a 15-game hit streak (.386, 22-for-57, 10 runs, 5 doubles, 2 triples, 2 home runs, 11 RBI, 8 walks).
- Has reached base safely in 27 consecutive games (longest active streak among Red Raiders)... longest streak by a Red Raider since 2010-11 (Jamodrick McGruder - 39 straight).
- Has hit safely in 30-of-33 starts this season.
