Texas Tech Dominates First Day At Purdue Invitational

Texas Tech freshman Sabrina Federici went a combined 3-0 on the first day of the Purdue Invitational.

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Texas Tech rolled through the field on the first day of the Purdue Invitational at the Schwartz Tennis Center.
The Lady Raiders won all four singles matches and went 3-1 in doubles play at the event.
Texas Tech's freshmen led the way, as Sabrina Federici, Hortense Boscher and Katelyn Jackson each rolled to straight-set wins. Sophomore Samantha Czarniak Rego added the fourth singles win of the day over Ramona Costea of Miami, 6-4, 6-4.
In doubles, Boscher and Federici cruised through the first two rounds of doubles play with over tandems from Memphis and Purdue. Czarniak Rego and Jackson were not as lucky, as the duo split their two matches on Friday.
The Lady Raiders will return to action on Saturday morning at the event.
