Dvorak Cruises Into Consolation Quarterfinals At Regionals

Texas Tech freshman Sarah Dvorak advanced to the consolation quarterfinals at the USTA/ITA Texas Regionals.

COLLEGE STATION, Texas - Texas Tech freshman Sarah Dvorak put together a pair of wins to advance to the quarterfinals of consolations singles at the USTA/ITA Texas Regional Championships on Saturday.
Dvorak is the lone Lady Raider still in action at the regional event.
Lynn Kiro and Sabrina Federici both bowed out in the Round of 32 of the main draw.
In doubles, sixth-seeded Kiro and Dvorak marched into the quarterfinals, before running into fourth-seeded Seda Arantekin and Stephanie Tan of TCU, 8-5.
Dvorak will continue her run to the consolation finals on Sunday, when she faces Rice's Allison Ho at 10:45 a.m. in the quarterfinals.
