TEXAS TECH TEAM NOTES The match was the second all-time between Texas Tech and Cal State Northridge as the Red Raiders had previously swept the Matadors in straight sets on Aug. 31, 1990, during the season opener at the Arizona State Tournament.
 Texas Tech finished with a season-low .103 hitting percentage. The Red Raiders had hit below .200 only once previously this season - Aug. 25 against Boston College where Tech recorded a .182 average.
 The Red Raiders committed 21 attacking errors in the match, marking Texas Tech's most in a three-set contest this year.
 Texas Tech trailed in hitting percentage for only the second time this season. The Red Raiders also totaled a lower percentage against Towson in a three-set loss Sept. 7 at Montana.
Don        Flora
         The loss drops head coach Don        Flora to 295-78 a collegiate head coach and 26-19 while at Texas Tech.
         The loss was only the fourth all-time for the Red Raiders under Flora when        facing a non-conference opponent. Tech is now 25-4 against out-of-league foes and 20-3 in        tournament settings.
         The loss dropped Texas Tech to 5-2 this year in neutral site contests and 11-2        under Flora.
Lydia        McKay
         McKay led Texas Tech with 11 kills from the middle and a .308 hitting        percentage. The freshman took a season-high 26 attempts, breaking her previous mark of 21        against Siena on Aug. 25.
         She matched her career high in kills that she set just a day prior as McKay also        totaled 11 against Houston Baptist on Friday.
