EUGENE, Ore. - Former Red Raider Omo Osaghae's Olympic dreams came to a close Saturday after he finished 10th overall in the semifinals of the men's 110-meter hurdles.
With the 10th place finish and a time of 13.43 Osaghae failed to advance to the evening's finals.
Osaghae, competing unattached, finished third in his heat and ninth overall yesterday to qualify for the semifinals with a time of 13.44.
The decorated former Red Raider left Tech as one of the top sprint-hurdlers in school history as he still holds the school record time of 13.23 in the 110-meter hurdles. Osaghae also owns the Texas Tech indoor 55-meter hurdle record mark of 7.17 along with the indoor 60-meter hurdle record of 7.60.
