TEXAS TECH MATCH NOTES Despite the loss, Texas Tech still controls the overall series with a 49-23 all-time advantage against Baylor, including a 17-14 lead in matches played in Waco.
Baylor has now won 15 of the last 16 matches between the two schools.
The loss was Texas Tech's eight-straight when playing Baylor in Waco.
With the loss, the Red Raiders have now lost nine-straight matches as Texas Tech's last win came Sept. 14 in a 3-2 victory over Houston Baptist.
Texas Tech was previously 8-2 this year when winning the opening set. The Red Raiders also fell Sept. 19 at Nevada and then last Saturday against No. 22 Iowa State.
The Red Raiders were held to a .065 hitting percentage, their lowest average of the year. Tech had previously hit under .100 just once this year - Sept. 22 against Kansas.
Texas Tech totaled a season-high 30 attacking errors in the match as well.
Don Flora
Drops to 295-86 overall as a head coach and 26-27 while at Texas Tech.
Drops to 7-15 in true road matches while at Texas Tech.
Rachel Brummitt
Brummitt recorded a team-high 17 digs to anchor the back row as she was in double digits for the 19th time so far this year.
The sophomore now has 355 digs on the year, leaving her 36 shy of matching Melissa McGehee for 10th all-time in the Texas Tech single-season record book.
Emily Ehrle
Ehrle's 12 kills marked her most during Big 12 play this year. She was coming off a 10-kill performance last Saturday against No. 22 Iowa State.
It was the eighth time the freshman has held at least a share of the team high in kills.
Tory Vaughan
Vaughan finished with 10 digs on the back row, marking the fifth time the senior has been in double digits this season.
She has now 58 total digs over the last three matches against Baylor as she has averaged 4.83 digs per set.
