Women's Tennis Announces 2011-2012 Schedule

LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech women's tennis team has announced it schedule for the 2011-2012 season highlighted by 10 home matches at the McLeod Tennis Center.
The Lady Raiders will start off its fall schedule with split squads heading to the Midland Invitational in Midland, Texas and Oklahoma Invitational in Norman, Okla. on September 16-18. Tech is schedule for the ITA All-American Championships during the first week of October before heading to Waco, Texas, for the Baylor Invitational on October 14-16.
The ITA Regionals event in Ft. Worth, Texas, will wrap up the fall for Tech on October 21-25.
The spring schedule will being with the UCF Invite in Orlando, Fla., on Jan. 14-16. The second tournament will be a first for the Lady Raiders as it will compete in the ITA National Indoors. It is the first time Tech has been invited to play in the ITA National Indoor tournament. Tech will play No. 18 Arizona State in its first match.
Tech will play its first home match of the season at the McLeod Tennis Center on Feb. 4th against Mississippi and Houston. The Lady Raiders will have a total of 10 home matches played at McLeod Tennis Center.
Two big road trips will take the Lady Raiders to Las Vegas, Nev., and Hawaii. Tech will have UNLV, Utah and Long Beach State in Nevada before playing Baylor at home in its first Big 12 match. The Lady Raiders will take to the skies for its next road trip as it will take on Hawaii and Notre Dame in Honolulu, Hawaii, on March 10th and 12th.
Tech will return from its time in Hawaii to play Kansas State and Kansas on the road on March 23rd and 25th. Oklahoma State (March 30th) and Oklahoma (April 1st) come to the McLeod Tennis Center. The Lady Raiders will play at Texas A&M on April 13th and at Texas on April 15th.
The Lady Raiders will finish its season at home on April 20th and April 22nd against Missouri and Iowa State, respectively.
The Big 12 Championships will be held in College Station, Texas, on April 26-28.
