Floren, Smith Named To Golfweek Magazine All-America Team

LUBBOCK, Texas - Senior men's golfers Nils Floren and Matt Smith earned their third postseason individual honors as both earned All-American status from Golfweek Magazine.

Floren led the way for Texas Tech as he was named to the third team while Smith picked up honorable mention honors.

Floren and Smith led the Red Raiders this season with 72.2 and 72.6 respective stroke averages and helped guide Tech to a fourth place finish at the Big 12 Championships. Both players earned All-Big 12 and All-Region honors in 2011.

For Floren, this is his second All-America honor and it's the first for Smith.
