TUCSON, Ariz. - Before opening the NCAA Tucson Regional Friday evening, the Texas Tech softball team went through its final preparations with an hour-long practice Thursday afternoon at Rita Hillenbrand Memorial Stadium.
The Red Raiders mainly focused on staying crisp at the plate and in the field as the team spent time in the batting cages while also taking batting practice and ground balls inside the stadium.
Immediately following, assistant coach Kristie Fox, an Arizona alumnus, and junior Logan Hall, a Tucson native, met with members of the local media to discuss the upcoming regional. Both Fox and Hall were on the field for the first time without Arizona colors.
Arizona announced Thursday afternoon that every game of the Tucson Regional will be streamed live via the school's athletic website at www.arizonawildcats.com.
Texas Tech will once again be providing in-game coverage on its updated Gameday Central page and on its Twitter feed, @TechGameday.
