• The match was the 50th all-time between the two schools as Texas Tech still leads the all-time series with a 48-22 advantage.
• The loss marked Tech's 13-straight to Baylor as the Red Raiders' last win in the series came on Oct. 27, 2004 in Lubbock.
• The three-set loss was only the second for Tech this season with the other coming in the Big 12 opener against Iowa State.
• Tech's 34 kills in the match marked its second-lowest total of the season. Its season low came in the Big 12 opener against Iowa State when the Red Raiders recorded 28 kills.
• The Red Raiders' 13 attacking errors in the match were Tech's third-lowest amount this year.
• Amanda Dowdy extended her double-double streak to 10-straight as the senior now has 15 on the year and 29 during her career.
• With her 10 kills tonight, Dowdy has been in double-digits in the category in each of Tech's last 11 matches.
• Breeann David's 10 kills in the match marked her third-straight outing to be in double-digits. David was coming off a season-high 17-kill performance last Saturday against Oklahoma.
• Tory Vaughan neared the 20-dig barrier for the third-straight match as the junior finished with 18 digs in the match. Vaughan now has 64 digs over Tech's last three matches.
