LUBBOCK, TX - The Lady Raiders completed the final day of action at the OU Invitational with Elizabeth Ullathorne earning three singles victories and teaming with Nikki Sanders to claim three doubles victories over the weekend in Norman, Oklahoma.
After advancing to the singles C finals, Ullathorne lost her only match of the tournament to Jade Frampton of Arkansas, 3-6, 7-5, 6-2.
In other singles matches on Sunday, freshman Nikki Sanders defeated OSU's Nataliya Shatkovskaya, 7-5, 6-4. Samantha Adams lost to SMU's Heather Steinbauer, 7-5, 6-4. Kelsy Garland lost to DePaul's Selma Salkovic, 6-1, 0-6, 6-4.
After dropping their opening doubles A match on Friday, Kelsy Garland and Samantha Adams won their next doubles match over Wichita State's Zotter and Budiharto, 8-5. On Sunday, the Lady Raider tandem fell to OSU's Malika Rose and Alisa Buslaieva, 8-6.
In doubles B play, Liz Ullathorne and Nikki Sanders were undefeated for all three matches during tournament play. The Lady Raider duo won their final match on Sunday over UNT's Nadia Lee and Amy Joubert, 8-4.
Tournament organizers scheduled four singles matches and three doubles matches for each player throughout the weekend. On Friday, each player had one singles match and two doubles matches. Each player had two singles matches on Saturday followed by one singles match and one doubles match on Sunday.
