Seven Named to USTFCCCA All-Academic Team

LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech track program landed seven student-athletes on the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association All-Academic team.
The seven student-athletes named to the squad were Amanda Alley (human development and family studies), Terra Evans (exercise and sport science), Caroline Karunde (human development and family studies), Winrose Karunde (human development and family studies), Ifeatu Okafor (exercise and sports science), Ozie Okolie (nutritional science) and Shade Weygandt (arts and sciences).
To qualify for the USTFCCCA All-Academic Track and Field Team, the student-athlete must have compiled a cumulative grade point average of 3.25 and have met either the NCAA Division I Indoor automatic or provisional qualifying standard or participated in the NCAA Division I Outdoor Championships (including preliminary rounds) in their respective event.
