- Tech's opening set victory marked the first time the Red Raiders had scored on the road since taking the third set at Oklahoma on Sept. 22 of this year.
- Amanda Dowdy has now posted double-digit kills in nine of Tech's last 10 matches. She has moved within 19 kills of tying Jennifer Cohn (1988-92) for 10th on the school's career kills list.
- Dowdy's double-double was her seventh of this season and ninth of her career.
- Tonight's match was broadcast live by Fox College Sports, marking the second network broadcast for Tech this season. The Red Raiders' match at Nebraska was aired by CBS College Sports.
- Karlyn Meyers' double-double was the third of her career, all of which have occurred this season. Her 13 digs were one off her career-high set earlier this year against UTSA.
