- Tech's win over Colorado was its fifth in the series and the first in Boulder since taking a 3-0 win on Nov. 2, 2002. The Red Raiders had not defeated the Buffaloes at either venue since Sept. 27, 2007 in Lubbock.
- Karlyn Meyers' 23 digs surpassed her previous high of 14 set earlier this season against UTSA. The junior had 67 assists against Colorado earlier this year, but her 53 assists tonight is the second-most for her career.
- Amanda Dowdy became the eighth Tech player to reach 1,000 kills as her 34 kills tonight moved her to 1,014 over her career, tying Sabrina Zenon (1988-91) for sixth on the Tech career chart. Dowdy also passed Lacy Nye (1,005 kills; 1993-96) for seventh tonight as well.
- Dowdy's 34 kills tonight tied Colleen Smith for the third-highest total in school history. Smith also connected on 34 kills against Colorado on Nov. 13, 1999. Dowdy set the Tech single-match record earlier this year against the Buffaloes, finishing with 37 on Oct. 13.
- Miara Cave matched her career high for blocks in a match as the sophomore outside hitter had five blocks assists tonight. She had previously notched five at Kansas on Oct. 30.
- Jackie Vincent's 21 digs surpassed her previous high of 19 set twice this year against Texas State and at Missouri. She was one of five Tech players with double-digit digs in the match.
- Tory Vaughan came close to matching her career high in digs as the sophomore finished with 12 in the match. Vaughan's career high is 13 set against Texas State last season.
- A little over week after matching her career high in digs at Missouri, Aleah Hayes reset the high with 12 in the match. Her previous high was 10 set twice during her two-year career.
- Alexxa Roberts' five blocks were her most since posting nine earlier this season against Kansas. The senior's nine kills is also her second-highest total this year.
