Wruck Places Eighth at 19th Commonwealth Games

LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech sophomore Julian Wruck placed eighth in the men's discus at the 19th Commonwealth Games held in Delhi, India.
Wruck's throw of 186'-0" (56.69M) was good for eighth for his native Australia in a tough field. The gold medalist was Wruck's own teammate Benn Harradine with his mark of 214'-8" (65.45M). It is the first time Wruck has competed in the Commonwealth Games.
The sophomore was an All-American as a freshman for Tech and will now begin training for the NCAA indoor track and field season.
