Pfister Continues on in Consolation Bracket at Midland Invite

LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech freshman Raphael Pfister won both of his singles matches in the consolation bracket of the Midland Racquet Club Invitational today to advance to the semifinals on Sunday.
In his first match on Saturday, Pfister defeated Artem Baradach (SMU), 6-2, 4-6, 10-6 (super tiebreaker). He was then victorious over Christ Camilone (Texas), 6-4, 6-4, in the quarterfinals.
Pfister faces Vasko Mladenov (Texas) at 9 a.m. on Sunday in the semifinals of the consolation bracket.
The doubles tandem of junior David Gonzalez and Pfister lost their second-round match to Phil Anderson and Carl Ho (New Mexico), 9-8 (6).
