LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech golfer Chris Ward fired a final-round 68 to finish in a 10th-place tie at the 39th Chesapeake Energy Texas State Open at The Cascades in Tyler, Texas. The senior from McKinney, Texas, tied with Travis Wolff of Fort Worth as the top amateurs in the field.

He shot a 7-under 273 for the tournament.
