
Tech Adds Two More to NCAA Outdoor Championships

LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech track program added two more names to the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships list as Terra Evans and Darrell Roddick were selected for at-large bids.
Roddick received an automatic bid in the long jump by placing fourth at the Midwest Regional. He earned an at-large spot in the triple jump by placing sixth in the triple jump equaling his best jump of the year at 52'-11" and is currently the 12th ranked triple jumper going into the meet.
Evans received a spot in the 100M field with a season-best time of 11.33. She is the only freshman in the nation to make the field. The freshman was All-Big 12 in the 100M, 4x100M and the 4x400M.
A total of 12 student-athletes as well as the men's 4x400M relay will be traveling to the NCAA Outdoor Championships on Wed., June 10 in Fayetteville, Ark.
