
Knight Named First Team CoSIDA Academic All-American

LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech's Patience Knight was named to the first team of ESPN The Magazine Academic All-America track and field team that were selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America.
Knight is majoring in Wildlife and Fisheries Management and has a 3.95 grade-point average. The three-time All-American won both the indoor and outdoor Big 12 shot put championship and placed sixth at the NCAA Indoor Championships. She owns both the indoor and outdoor school records as well.
Senior Nathan Lowry earned CoSIDA All-District honors with a 3.93 GPA. Lowry earned All-Big 12 honors in the 110M hurdles during the outdoor season.
To be eligible for the CoSIDA Academic All-American, a student-athlete must be a varsity starter or key reserve, maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 on a scale of 4.00, have reached sophomore athletic and academic standings at his/her current institution.
