- Oklahoma State now leads the all-time series 28-21 and clinched the series with today's win. The Cowboys have won each of the last four series against the Red Raiders.
- Texas Tech honored seven seniors prior to the game for their contributions to the baseball program. They were: Brian Cloud, Lorenzo Douglas, AJ Ramos, Chris Richburg, Willie Rueda, Miles Morgan and Cory Large.
- Freshman right-fielder Scott LeJeune led the offense with three RBIs while Taylor Ashby led the team with three hits (3-for-4).
- Today's loss marked the first home series loss of the season for the Red Raiders and prevented Tech from winning its fifth Big 12 series win. The last time Tech won five Big 12 series in a season was in 2004.
