
Tech to Run at South Plains Cross Country Festival

LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech cross country squads are sending six men and two women to run at the South Plains College Cross Country Festival on Saturday in Levelland, Texas.
The men's team will be led by Jeremy Kight and Nathan Milles who both finished in the top 10 of the Texas Tech Ruidoso Open at the start of the season. The four other runners have run well throughout the season. Samuel Bushong was 49th at the Texas Tech Open while Andrew Goldstien was 21st at the Tech Ruidoso Open.
Chase Wade finished 18th at the Ruidoso Open and Valentino Julien was 13th at the Ruidoso Open and 31st at the Texas Tech Open.
The two women that will be running this weekend are Michelle Edman and Amanda McKeehan. Edman has run in all three meets so far this season with her best finish coming at the Texas Tech Ruidoso Open with a 16th place. McKeehan also had her best finish at the Texas Tech Ruidoso Open crossing the line in 17th.
Some of the schools competing at the meet will be Clarendon College, Lubbock Christian, New Mexico Junior College, South Plains, University of the Southwest, Wayland Baptist and Western Texas College.
The women's race will begin at 11 a.m. and the men will follow at 11:30 a.m.
