Baseball Set To Open Fall Practice

LUBBOCK, Texas - The Dan Spencer era in Texas Tech Baseball will officially get underway on Thursday as the Red Raiders hold their first official team practice of the fall semester at Dan Law Field.
The first team workout of the season will get underway at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday and the Red Raiders will practice each weekday at that time with the exception of Wednesday's when practice will begin at 4 p.m. Texas Tech's team practices will span a total of 43 days and conclude with the annual Red & Black Series.
Texas Tech will hold two special scrimmages on Friday, Sept. 19 and Friday, Oct. 10 prior to the UMASS and Nebraska home football games. The Friday night scrimmages are the perfect opportunity for Tech fans coming from out of town for the football games to get an early look at the Red Raiders. The scrimmage on Sept. 19 will begin at 6:15 p.m. while the Oct. 10 scrimmage is set for 7 p.m. There will be no admission charge.
The Red Raiders will conclude fall practice with a five-game Red & Black Series beginning on Oct. 26 and wrapping up Oct. 30.
All practices and scrimmages are open to the public.
Red Raider Baseball Fall Practice Dates
Practices on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday: 2:30 p.m.
Practices on Wednesday: 4 p.m.
September 19 scrimmage: 6:15 p.m.
October 10 scrimmage: 7 p.m.
Red & Black Game One (Sun., Oct. 26): 1 p.m.
Red & Black Game Two (Mon., Oct. 27): 3:30 p.m.
Red & Black Game Three (Tues., Oct. 28): 3:30 p.m.
Red & Black Game Four (Wed., Oct. 29): 4:45 p.m.
Red & Black Game Five (Thurs., Oct. 30): 3:30 p.m.
