TODD STEPS DOWN AS VOLLEYBALL COACH

LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech volleyball head coach Nancy Todd announced today that she will be stepping down from her position effectively immediately.
"I have enjoyed my time while at Texas Tech and the relationships I have built. I feel my family needs to become my priority at this time in my life. I thank Texas Tech and Gerald Myers for the opportunity and wish the team the best of luck," Todd said.
"We appreciate the integrity and service that Coach Todd has given to our volleyball program. She has always represented Texas Tech in a first-class manner, we wish Nancy and her family the best in her future endeavors," Texas Tech athletic director Gerald Myers stated.
Tech will return Amanda Dowdy who had 301 kills and Jenn Harrell who recorded 319 digs. The Red Raiders have 12 returning to the 2009 squad.
A national search for a new head coach will begin immediately.
