LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech outfielder Roger Kieschnick who just completed his freshman season with the Red Raiders earned a spot on the final 22-man U.S. National Team that was announced earlier this morning by USA Baseball.
Kieschnick is one of two Big 12 players to earn spots on the prestigious team as he is joined by Texas catcher Preston Clark. Kieschnick and the rest of his team begin their official slate of games on Tuesday, July 4 with a 6:05 p.m. game against Taiwain in Pawtucket, R.I..
Kieschnick, a native or Rockwall, Texas, turned in one of the most dynamic freshman seasons by a Red Raider since Josh Bard back in 1997.
