- Today's game marked the 39th all-time meeting between Texas Tech and Oklahoma State. OSU's 5-3 win over the Red Raiders give them the all-time series lead at 20-19.
- Freshman left fielder Roger Kieschnick had his seven-game hit streak snapped today as he went 0-for-4 at the plate.
- Senior third baseman Joey Callender went 3-for-4 at the plate with one RBI to lead the Texas Tech offense. Callender's RBI triple in the eighth ended OSU's shutout attempt.
- Junior designate hitter Tyler Reves picked up his 12th home run of the season in the top of the ninth inning.
