- Today's game marked the 38th meeting in the all-time series between Texas Tech and Oklahoma State. OSU's 6-4 win ties the series at 19-19.
- Redshirt freshman RHP Miles Morgan picked up his 100th strikeout of the season in the bottom of the third when struckout Shelby Ford to end the inning. Morgan is just the 14th pitcher in school history to reach the century mark in strikeouts in a single-season.
- Kyle Martin plated all four of Texas Tech's runs on the evening and he finished 2-for-4 and tied his career-high with four RBI. His two home runs in the game ties a season-high that he set previously against Baylor back on April 1, 2006.
- Freshman left fielder Roger Kieschnick has now hit safely in 45 of 53 games this season.
