
Tech Track Places 10 on Big 12 Honor Roll

Lubbock, Texas - Texas Tech track and field named 10 of its student athletes to the 2006 Academic All-Big 12 teams, it was announced by the conference today.
Senior Dana Rosenbladt led the way for the women with 4.0 GPA in mechanical engineering. Also named to the first team are Krista Grantham (food and nutrition), Julianne Kennedy (exercise and sport sciences), Lexi O'Neal (exercise and sport science) and Lindsey Walesheck (exercise and sport science).
Louise Cox (business administration) was the sole Tech representative named to the second team.
On the men's side, named to the first team, are Shawon Harris (exercise and sport science), Haron Lagat (human development and family studies), TJ McLarty (marketing) and Sage Thames (wildlife management).
In other academic news, Harris, a two-time All-American, was named to the third team of the Arthur Ashe Scholars list. Harris is also a two-time Academic All-Big 12 honoree and an Academic All-America nominee.
