
Women's Tennis Adds to Roster for 2007

Lubbock, Texas - Texas Tech women's tennis head coach Cari Groce announced today the signing of Kerryn Potgieter for the 2006-2007 season. Potgieter is the first signee for the women's tennis program during the national signing period.
Potgieter is a native of Pietermaritzburg, South Africa and attends Epworth high school. She also participates in squash and field hockey at Epworth. She is the daughter of Jan and Sharon Potgieter.
Her individual accomplishments include an eighth-place finish at the 2004 South African games, advancing to the quarterfinals of the junior Australian Open and winning the Dunlop Mini Series in 2004 and the Coca Cola Tennis tournament. Her highest South African junior ranking has been No. 8 in singles and No. 2 in doubles.
