Tech came out of the gate hot in game two of the doubleheader; scoring two runs in the top of the first inning, the first on a RBI single off the bat of Corkin and the second a fielding error by UNT.
Senior pitcher Julie Hauck was effective for the first 5 2/3 innings of the contest, limiting the Mean Green to only one run on eight hits while striking out seven batters.
After UNT cut the Red Raider lead to 2-1 with a score in the bottom of the sixth, pinch hitter Alex Watkins regained the two-run advantage for the Red Raiders with a two-out RBI single up the middle in the top of the seventh.
Crawford, who entered the game in relief of Hauck in the sixth, recorded the final four outs of the ballgame to earn her fourth save of the season.
Texas Tech continues its Big 12 season this weekend as it travels to Lawrence, Kan., to square off against the Kansas Jayhawks in a two-game series at KU's Arrocha Ballpark.
