Texas Tech Tennis Gives Back to Community

LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech women's tennis team, along with special guest Raider Red, hosted Iles Elementary Tuesday to present students with 30 new tennis rackets donated by Volkl.
Students receiving rackets had to attend all four camps sponsored by the Lady Raider tennis team throughout the fall.
"We love working with the kids from Iles," said head coach Cari Groce, who recently received the ITA Community Service Award. "They love coming out and learning more about tennis, and with their new rackets, many feel ready for Wimbledon."
The Lady Raiders will continue hosting Iles for monthly tennis sessions. Next spring, they will host Munchkin Tennis Clinics for ages 3-10 on nights prior to home matches.
