LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech women's tennis ended their 2006 fall schedule at the Western Michigan Super Challenge in Kalamazoo, Mich. The team went up against some of the top ranked women's collegiate players in this weekend's tournament.
In doubles, all three Tech teams suffered first match losses, but advanced on to consolation play. Lakann Wagley and Kerryn Potgieter went 1-2 in the tournament, winning against Wisconsin's Kaylan Caiati and Morgan Tuttle, 8-6. Janet Durham and Anne Sophie Fankam came up short of wins, losing 9-8 and 9-7 in two consecutive matches. The third duo of Brenna Jackson and Samantha van der Drift, bounced back winning their next two matches against Indiana's Marah Calvo and Erin Clark, 8-2, and Jennifer Tylor (Northwestern) and Milica Zivanovic (WMU), 8-1.
