Women's Tennis Competes at Western Michigan Super Challenge

LUBBOCK, Texas - Lady Raider tennis will participate in the Western Michigan Super Challenge on Nov. 3-5 at the West Hills Athletic Club in Kalamazoo, Mich.
The tournament consists of six singles flights and three doubles flights, and features four nationally-ranked teams. Teams include No. 8 Northwestern, No. 44 Indiana, No. 51 Texas Tech, No. 67 Virginia Tech, Wisconsin and Western Michigan.
Last time out for the team was at the Wilson/ITA Southwest Women's Tennis Regional, hosted by TCU, on Oct 19-21 in Fort Worth, Texas.
At the ITA Regional, Tech's No. 1 duo of Kerryn Potgieter and Lakann Wagley worked their way through the bracket losing in the quarterfinals against Texas A&M's Anna Lubinsky and Nicki Mechem, 8-2. In singles action, Samantha van der Drift led the way defeating SMU's Kristen Reid and Texas' Sarah Lancaster, but fell short of the win against Baylor's Iva Mihaylova, 6-1, 6-2.
