Red Raiders Notch Third Place Finish at William H. Tucker

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - After finishing in eighth place last weekend in their first action of the fall season, the Texas Tech golf team return to action over the weekend and posted a third place finish at the William H. Tucker held at the UNM Championship Course in Albuquerque, N.M.
As a team, the Red Raiders turned in a three-round team total of 862, trailing only UNLV (851 and BYU (861), and were led by Senior Andrew Dresser, who completed play in third place with a total score of 210, including a final round score of 67.
Freshman Brandon Lakatta turned the highest finish of his brief collegiate career as he posted a tournament score of 214 to earn a tie for eighth place. Junior Oscar Floren turned in a 215 to finish in a tenth place tie, while fellow junior Derek Smith fired a three-round total of 223. Redshirt freshman Santiago Rivas rounded out the Texas Tech contingency with a 237.
