Red Raider Golf Completes First Day of Cleveland State Invitational

LUBBOCK, Texas - In their first action of the fall season, the Texas Tech men's golf team turned in a first round team-total of 303 on Monday at the 2005 Cleveland State Invitational presented by Fairmount Minerals. The team score total is good enough to put them in 14th place heading into Tuesday's second round.
Junior Oscar Floren turned in an even par 71 on Monday to lead the Red Raiders. The score places Floren in a tie for seventh overall, four shots off of Kansas' Gary Woodland who fired a 67 to lead the tournament.
Senior Andrew Dresser posted Tech's second lowest score of the day with a four-over par 75, while teammates Brandon Lakatta and Nick Williams shot first round scores of 78 and 79 respectively. Senior Casey Jones also competed for the Red Raiders, shooting a first round of 86.
Texas Tech golf is back in action on Tuesday when they continue play at the 2005 Cleveland State Invitational.
