Red Raider Track Adds Two For 2006 Season

Lubbock, Texas - Track and field head coach Wes Kittley announced the signing of Brady Hicks and Ozie Okolie for the 2005-2006 academic school year. These additions bring the signing class total to 17.
Ozie Okolie is a standout thrower at Alief Elsik high school in Houston, Texas. Okolie has marked personal bests throws of 41'-1" in the shot put and 129'-0" in the discus. She also lettered in volleyball and basketball.
Williams Brady Hicks is a native of Arlington, Texas, and a sprinter at Lamar high school. Hicks has clocked personal best times of 21.37 in the 200M and 50.02 in the 400M.
Texas Tech track and field will return to action as select athletes will be competing in the USA Track and Field Championships in Carson, Calif., June 23-26.
