
Floren Named to All-Big 12 Golf Team

LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech sophomore golfer Oscar Floren was named to the All-Big 12 Conference Men's Golf Team on Wednesday, after leading the Red Raiders on the links during the regular season with a 73.5 stroke average.
Floren, a native of Ljungskile, Sweden, has three top 10 finishes on the season and two others among the top 20. His best finish of the 2004-05 season came at The Tucker Invitational in Albuquerque, N.M., where he completed the three-round event in a third-place tie. His final round 66 was a team-best for the season.
Throughout his two-year career, Floren has averaged 73.1 strokes per round and has played in 22 events, finishing among the top 20 on 11 occasions. His finish at The Tucker Invitational this season was the highest of his career.
The Red Raiders are currently awaiting the announcement of the NCAA regional selections, which take place Mon., May 9.
