- Oklahoma continues to creep up on Tech in the all-time series as the Red Raiders lead now 22-20-1.
- Texas Tech is 0-6-1 at L. Dale Mitchell Park in its last seven games here. The Red Raiders have not won a series here since they swept the Sooners 3-0 in 1999.
- Texas Tech's leadoff men were 0-for-14 in the series prior to Cooper Fouts walk in the sixth that ended the streak.
- Senior shortstop Cameron Blair is now 0-for-16 at the plate dating back to the fifth inning against New Mexico last Monday. The hitless streak is the longest of his career.
- The last four hitters in Tech's batting order are 2-for-22 in the series.
- The Red Raiders most likely face a must-win situation tomorrow afternoon in order to qualify for next week's Big 12 Tournament at Bricktown. Texas Tech must match any win by Texas A&M (over the Aggies next two games - starting on Saturday night) and hope that Nebraska wins one of its final two games against Kansas State.
- Texas Tech's two hits on the afternoon was the second lowest total of the season behind the no-hitter at Missouri.
