- Senior shortstop Cameron Blair went 0-for-5 on the night and now has gone 12 at-bats without a hit. Blair has not had a hit in back-to-games for the first time this season and for just the third time in his career.
- Texas Tech struckout 10 times on the evening and that marks the eighth 10-plus strikeout game for the Red Raider offense this season.
- Oklahoma narrowed Texas Tech's all-time series lead to 21-19-1 and have now won two straight in the series dating back to a win in last year's Big 12 Tournament.
- Senior third baseman Carey Avants picked up his second four-hit game of the season and it was his 18th multiple-hit affair of the year. Avants led all Tech hitters with a 4-for-5 day at the plate with one RBI.
