Red Raider Golf Posts Second Consecutive Top Five Finish

As a team, Texas Tech was eight shots over par at the event, only 16 shots off tournament winner Georgia State, in a field that included seven teams ranked in the national Top 25.
Senior Andrew Dresser fired an opening round of 69 at the event on his way to a three-round total of 212 (-4) to give the Red Raiders a top-five individual finisher at the event. Junior Oscar Floren followed closely being with a score total of 214 at the event to finish in a tie for 9th place and turned in Tech's lowest round at the event, closing the tournament out with a third-round 68.
A trio of freshmen rounded out the Red Raider contingency at the event. Brandon Lakatta finished in a tie for 17th place at the tournament with a three-round total of 218, while Jake Younan-Wise fired a 228 and Christopher Gold an event total of 242.
The tournament is the last of the fall season for Texas Tech golf; the team will kick off its spring season on Feb. 5-7 when it begins play at the Mercedes Benz Collegiate in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla.
