SAN DIEGO, Calif. - The Texas Tech men's golf team posted a fifth place finish at the Barona Collegiate Cup on Tuesday, turning in a 22-under par team-total of 842 to finish the event 20 shots off the pace of tournament winner BYU. The event was held at the par-72, 7,088 yard Barona Creek Golf Course in San Diego, Calif.

Junior Oscar Floren finished in a tie for fourth place individually at the event with a three-round total of 205. The final rank was his highest finish of the year and was boosted by a first-round score of 66. Freshman Jake Younan-Wise, in his first action of the season, finished in a tie for 27^th place at the event with a three-round total of 211, while fellow first-year Red Raider Christopher Gold finished in a tie for 46^th with a 215 score at the event. Senior Andrew Dresser turned in a final round score of 68 to tie fellow Tech golfer Brandon Lakatta with a final total of 217 at the event.

Texas Tech golf is back in action on Nov. 4-6 as it travels to Rock Face, Ga., to participate in the Carpet Capital Collegiate.
