Lubbock, Texas - The Texas Tech women's tennis team concluded day two of competition at the ITA Southwest Regional Tournament, in College Station, Texas, today.
In the main singles draw, Katja Kovacic fell to Nathalie Wallin of UT- San Antonio, 6-2, 6-3. Samantha van der Drift fell to Blair DiSesa of Rice, 7-5, 6-4. Cigdem Duru fell to Klara Jagosova of UT- Arlington, 6-2, 6-3. Tara Browning fell to Marisa Druss of Texas A&M, 6-2, 6-3.
In the consolation round, Janet Durham topped Raquel Wagner of Texas A&M, 6-3, 6-4. Lakann Wagley edged Vicky Simpson of Houston, 6-2, 6-3. Erin Hunter defeated Tiffany McLaughlin of Houston, 6-2, 6-0. Anne-Sophie Fankam fell to Medja Egic of Rice, 6-1, 6-2.
In doubles action, Erin Hunter and Kovacic edged Karas and Lee of Rice, 8-6. No. 25 Browning and Wagley fell to Arnoudovska and Velkovska of SELU, 8-4.
